As I have already reported, Microsoft has blocked Windows Update in Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 on AMD's and Intel's next-gen processors. However, GitHub user Zeffy was able to re-enable Windows Update in Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 on both Intel's and AMD's newest CPUs with a very, very, very simple tweak.
