to TheInquirer, AMD is set to release only three Phenoms on the 19th, and it
is a step down from what I expected just weeks ago. I was expecting Phenom
models 9500, 9600 and 9700 at 2.2, 2.4 and 2.6GHz. The bottom two are at 89W and

What the fuck is AMD up to man?
The chip in my almost 3 year old box is a 2.2GHZ opteron.
I guess it's obvious they've finally hit the end of the line and have no more innovation left.
It's sad... I'd hate to see a market where only Intel is pushing the envelope, because that means prices will be set to skyrocket and intel will get cocky and stagnate again, unless they learned their lesson with the P4.
I keep getting more and more reasons not to build another rig. |
