Ryzen brings out the big guns for its mainstream CPUs - six cores, 12 threads. Up against that, the Core i5 holds up well - but given the choice, it's the AMD Ryzen 5 we'd prefer. And we'll take the cheaper non-X 1600 with the bundled cooler, please.
