According to DigiTimes,
the
upcoming quad-core Core 2 Extreme will be priced at $999. Intel disclosed at
IDF that the chip will run at 2.66GHz with 8MB of total L2 cache. As for the
cheaper Kentsfield, which will be dubbed Core 2 Quad Q6600, DigiTimes says it
will launch in January at $851-well above the dual-core Core ...read more
