Tweaknews.net posted a review on the ViewSonic VX2245wm Black 22" Widescreen LCD Monitor W/ViewDoc. The big 22inch screen and super-fast 5ms video response help you excel in your games with no blurs, ghosting or jaggies to slow you down.
As for the ViewSonic VX2245wm, to be honest, I found the monitor lacked brightness and contrast. Viewing dark photos and dark scenes during DVD playback had me trying to adjust the brightness and contrast to their maximum levels and even with it set as high as it could go it still was too dark. I would like to see the monitor have its' contrast ratio increased from 700:1 to 900:1 and the brightness increased for 280cd/m2 to 350cd/m2 to give this monitor the brightness it deserves to make color pop out at you instead of being dim and understated.

And yes, it does live up to its' 5ms rating. This monitor games very well with not even a whiff of ghosting noted throughout my two hour gaming stint. But as noted earlier, the lack of contrast and brightness does leave a little to be desired. Don't get me wrong, gaming was still very enjoyable, but not as good as it could have been and as I have seen on other monitors.

I don't want to be all doom and gloom, but this monitor needs some revisions before it will be considered perfect and problem free. Again, the brightness and the contrast do need to be increased accordingly, the media card reader should be removed altogether for simplicity and the iPod USB connection should have a switch in order to facilitate an easier listening experience without having to remove the USB cable from the back of the monitor. Another thing I would like added is to have the powered USB hub to be turned on when you turn the monitor screen on and not when you turn the base on for the speakers and iPod functionality. I find it a little too complicated and too integrated for an easy user experience especially when i have to use my fingernails to access the menu for setup and integrated speaker volume control.
