Samsung SyncMaster 2233SW 16:9 Widescreen LCD Monitor Tested - [hardware]

Tweaknews posted a review of the Samsung SyncMaster 2233SW 16:9 Widescreen LCD Monitor - a simple 21.5inch monitor from Samsung that does support full 1920x1080 resolution. This features allows you to have more desktop real estate for working, allows you to watch full HD 1080p video, has a dynamic contrast ratio of 15000:1 and all for under US$200.
After several months of use, the Syncmaster 2233SW is a simple and cost effective 21.5" monitor that has the additional resolution bump up to 1920x1080. In fact, the 2233SW can be mistaken for a larger monitor thanks to its higher resolution and thin outer bezel. A couple of times I quizzed my friends who stopped by to have them guess what size of monitor is was and most of the time they estimated it to be higher than its actual 21.5 inches. But when you boil things down, the 2233SW is a great monitor for the money and should serve the buyer for years without fault. There is little to no weak points other than the slight backlight bleed-through and that is only noticeable when the screen is black or during extremely dark viewing. But realistically, will you ever notice it? Maybe on you initial computer boot up, but after that you can't see it. Overall there isn't much I could find wrong with the product. It performs just as its states and does so with flawless integration into your workstation. Maybe simple is better?
