Microsoft has finally announced Office for the iPad at its event in San Francisco today which will finally bring its productivity suit to iOS. The Office applications can be downloaded from here: Word | Excel | Powerpoint.



With the free versions of the apps, you can read your Word documents, view your Excel data and present with PowerPoint. Your documents will look as good as they do on your PC and Mac®, and better than ever on your iPad. With an Office 365 subscription, you can edit and create new documents with the iPad. The company also has announced today that the previously released Office Mobile apps for iPhone and Android smartphones are now free to download and use for home users.
