News Bits - Intel Core2 Q6600 CPU - [briefly] 06:22 AM EST - Feb,17 2007 - post a comment
- Intel Core2 Q6600 CPU -
This CPU gives on average about a 20-30 fps boost in most games, and the
performance boosts for compression/decompression, and encoding is
unsurpassed. With the ability to overclock this processor so easily, you
will be able to milk every last drop of performance from this chip.
- EVGA 8800 GTS 320MB Superclocked -
If you aren't planning on moving to a 30" monitor in the near future,
the lesser amount of memory on the 8800 GTS 320MB models probably won't hold
you back much and with the extra clock speed you get with the EVGA
Superclocked version, you might just find this new card out performing its
bigger brothers.
- Gainward Bliss 8800 GTS 320 MB Overclocked Video Card -
Currently, the card is priced at $300, $100 less than the 8800 GTS 640
MB. In most cases the card performs on par with its bigger brother, the 8800
GTS 640 MB, but as we move to higher resolutions with AA enabled the demand
for memory can at times overwhelm it
- Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer -
The
X-Fi's CMSS-3D features are what have impressed me most about this card
it improves the gaming experience no end compared to others cards that do
not have the feature of creating virtual surround sound within a pair of
headphones.
- D-Link DI-604 Broadband Router -
OCModShop takes a further look at D-Link DI-604 Broadband Router. The
DI-604 is ideal if you're creating your first home or small business
network, or if you're a more advanced user looking for additional management
settings. The DI-604 has an integrated 4-port switch with 10/100 Ethernet
ports for directly connecting up to four computers. And one Ethernet cable
is included with the DI-604, just to get you started.
- Acer AL2216w 22" Widescreen LCD -
The lack of inputs may be a cause of concern for those looking for
something a little future proof. There's no HDCP, which means no digital
next-gen content, and nothing for your PS3 or Wii (Xbox 360 can happily be
plugged into the VGA port).
- Apple TV's 40GB Hard Drive - Today, the folks at
PBS are trying to figure out what the 40GB hard drive in Apple TV is
for.
- Hmonitor 4.3.0.2 -
Hmonitor (download)
has much more functions than MotherBoard Monitor, for example, including
thermocontrol features and COM/PerfMon API support.

complete information on all AMD processors. It recognizes more than 50
various models of the AMD processors.

found an effective tool to deter some Canadians from downloading TV
programs, movies, music and software. And it doesn't involve going to court.
A number of industry groups, mostly based in the United States, are relying
on e-mail to get the message out that peer-to-peer file sharing is illegal.
