I know what you're thinking - a PS2 wheel on a PC?! Being a PC Gamer all of my life I wouldn't have thought it myself. Turns out those gamers who typically play both PC and PS2 games have known for the longest what I've just found out. Time to see what I've been missing...

I have few complaints about the Logitech Driving Force Pro. While it's not uncomfortable to use per se, I do prefer the thicker padding on the Logitech MOMO Racing Force and its wedge-shaped pedal base, which allow my feet to sit at a slightly better angle when using the pedals (but this is only because they're connected to my Playseat). However, neither of these issues detracts from the product to the extent that I would avoid using the Logitech Driving Force Pro altogether. Thicker padding on the wheel is nice, but it's not an absolute must. Taking a small block of wood and securing it between the Playseat's pedal support plate and the back of the Driving Force Pro's pedal base will easily tilt the rear section of the pedal base to a more comfortable angle.

My major complaint is that PC Gamers were left languishing with 200° racing wheel support for so long, while being fed a bill of goods about "realism" and "authenticity" in racing games for the PC platform. Meanwhile, the PlayStation console crowd was getting the real thing with the Logitech Driving Force Pro, Grand Turismo 4 and all the other titles with 900° wheel support. When you get right down to it, there's really no good reason why this situation has to exist in the first place, or even continue. Maybe it won't much longer. Depending where you usually shop, if you happen to be looking for a new PC racing wheel, it's not unusual to find the Driving Force Pro close to or even less than the price of a MOMO Racing Force.
