Multi-asset brokerage company eToro has been inaccessible since Tuesday, February 23, leaving users unable to trade as popular cryptocurrencies slipped and global equities trimmed losses. The Israeli-backed trading platform has apologized to traders and investors, adding that it is still working to fix the issue. "The root cause of the issue has been identified and our developers are working to fix it. Additional information will be provided as soon as possible," eToro said at 11 pm on Tuesday, Manila time. As of Wednesday morning, February 24, eToro remains inaccessible. For traders who wish to open positions and close trades, eToro has an offline mode tool (Ed.note: which only allow close your positions nothing else). The platform has gained popularity, as users are able to trade cryptocurrencies and global stocks on a mobile phone. eToro also has a copy trading feature, which allows investors to view and copy the strategies of top traders. The outage comes at a time when cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum have tumbled after hitting record highs. Meanwhile, global equities markets rebounded on Tuesday, with the S&P 500 and the Dow in the green. The Nasdaq was the only major US stock index to lose ground.
