After the DisplayPort-equipped 30" 3008WFP and 24" 2408WFP, Dell is back with a brand new 20" display. The UltraSharp 2009W doesn't have DisplayPort connectivity, but it does feature a new panel with a contrast ratio of 2000:1, a rated color gamut of 102%, and a five-millisecond response time. The 2009W doesn't break new ground on other fronts, though. Its 1680 x 1050 resolution is the same as that of Dell's previous 20" wide-screen displays, its 170° horizontal and 160° vertical viewing angles are about average, and so is its 300cd/m² luminosity rating. Dell has already started selling the 2009W, and you can nab it right now from the company's website for only $289.

In related news, for those of you who wants big screen space without having to buy a wide desk to support it, there's BenQ V2400W, which is the world's slimmest 24-inch widescreen monitor. It's apparently more than 21% slimmer than the next slimmest monitor at 2.44 inches, and has a 4000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio and 1080p HD support. Two and a half inches. Thinner than most of the stuff we've got dangling around!
