AMDZone take a further look at the AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Black Edition that features 1MB of L2 cache, 65W TDP, and possibly the same clock speed of 2.6GHz as the normal 5000+ counter part. Here's a bit:

Overall what can be said of the X2 5000+ Black Edition that we haven't said of AMD before. This CPU obviously is a great value for the price, adds an interesting twist to things with the unlocked multiplier which makes overclocking a little bit easier but still prevents it from competing with Intel's best. The same situation AMD has been in now for over a year without perhaps little to change from that in the future even with Phenom of Barcelona benchmarks are to be believed. We certainly hope not, it isn't what we want and an AMD that cannot at least break even is not a good thing for anyone so we hope that this does at least happen and Phenom speeds up quite quickly. Still though out of all the new features to come out of the Athlon 64 X2 line in a while unlocked multipliers at this price are probably the most interesting and made for some amazing overclocking numbers. For the price the CPU competes in between the E4400 and E4500 Intel processors, which should mostly be able to hit 3GHz in overclocking and probably beat the X2 5000+ or nearly meet it even at our high overclock. At stock speeds though it should just beat out Intel's CPU so AMD have certainly positioned themselves very well with their pricing, one thing they undoubtedly have right.
