Chinese website HKEPC says it has
yet
another Intel roadmap (thanks
TechReport), this one
giving a July 23 launch date for new "Conroe" Core 2 Duo processors. The roadmap
also reveals prices, with the cheapest 1.86 GHz Core 2 Duo marked at $186.
According to HKEPC's roadmap, all desktop Core 2 Duo processors-including the
$999 "Extreme" variety-will have a 1066 MHz front side bus. Intel is also
purportedly planning some price cuts for the Pentium D, Pentium 4, and Celeron
lines to accompany the Conroe launch. The Pentium D 960 and 950 will reportedly
drop down to $316 and $224, respectively, and the rest of the Pentium D line
will sink below $200. Meanwhile, the single-core Pentium 4s will supposedly
undergo massive cuts, with the 3.6 GHz P4 661 listed at just $183.
