In a recent interview with Japanese site IT Media, Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) President and CEO Ken Kutaragi dismissed complaints about the PlayStation 3's price tag and claimed the console was in fact "probably too cheap."  "For instance," Kutaragi continued, "Is it not nonsense to compare the charge for dinner at the company cafeteria with dinner at a fine restaurant? It's a question of what you can do with that game machine. If you can have an amazing experience, we believe price is not a problem." The console is scheduled to launch on November 17 for $499 and $599 in the US, €499 and €599 in Europe, and $549 and $649 in Canada.

SONY is even more arrogant then Microsoft or Exxon this is unbelivable!

Kutaragi has got a point - if something exudes in quality, people should pay more for it. However, the PS3 doesn't seem to suggest that it is any better than the Xbox 360 IMHO.

man PS3 better not tank. I'll be really upset if Nintendo and MS are the only ones driving the games market.
