Nokia
unveiled the triband GSM (900/1800/1900) 5500 which is targetted at active
minded consumers. The phone is feature packed with all the latest technology and
is built to withstand the daily rigours of work and work-out. The phone has
three dedicated modes activated by a single button a phone mode to stay in
touch, the music mode to unwind or power-up and the sport mode which helps you
keep track of work or your work-out. The Nokia 5500 supports upto 1GB of MicroSD
cards which can hold upto 750 tracks. When switched to sports mode the
integrated pedometer monitors distance walked or calories burned during a hectic
day in the city or the rigorous cardio session. It comes with a stainless steel
grip casing complemented by a splash and dust resistant shell and rubber grips.
The sports mode also features a text to speech feature so need of stopping while
cycling the phone reads out the message for you, it also reads out the work
status like calories burnt, distance travelled and so on. The Nokia 5500 Sport
will be available by 3rd Quarter 2006 for 300 Euros ($385) |
