The Inquirer reports that Asus will ship its PhysX cards with a few demos that can show what is the card made of and a copy of the first retail game that really uses the PhysX card, UbiSoft's Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, also known as GRAW.  The cards should be available by the end of the month. If you are an optimist you should be able to get a card in less that a two weeks from now but you never know what might cause further delays.

You'd think with the seemly half-assed implementation of the PhysX API used in that game they'd want to wait for another title, or something. I finally got a chance to watch some of those videos, and boy what a disappointment. That brick-like debri that flys of the walls when you shoot them with the grenade launcher disappears after a second or two of being on the ground! Disappears? Really? that's revolutionary physics? Particle effects should have a permanent presence on the landscape if they are going to be touted so highly like they are with that game.

If you shoot a brick wall with a grenade launcher, part of the wall should be missing, and an equivalent amount of debri should be on the ground, and stay there.

You have to start somewhere, but c'mon.
