StarCraft II might not get an open beta but there is a way to
ensure a spot in the closed beta.
GameStop is offering access to pre-order
customers. The offer applies to both online and in-store
pre-orders. It doesn't matter if you want the Standard or Collector's
Edition. But be warned,
your pre-order cannot be cancelled
once you obtain the access code.

Before you guys pre-order, if you and a friend are both interested in
the deal, use the code 25OFF, which is good for 25% off the order if
over 100. Just want to also note the coupon code is for the
total order, StarCraft II or not. Works for both collector's
and non-collector's edition.
