There are brand new
GeForce 185.85 reference drivers
out today for Windows XP, Windows XP x64, Windows Vista 32-bit, and
Windows Vista 64-bit. According to the release highlights, these new
drivers support GeForce 6, 7, 8, 9, 100, and 200-series desktop GPUs
and the ION platform. With their ForceWare 185 series driver, NVIDIA
has incorporated a host of new improvements, including performance
optimizations and support for ambient occlusion. Up to this point
though, all ForceWare 185 driver releases have been betas; some users
just aren't comfortable running beta graphics drivers. That's all
changed now though. NVIDIA's latest ForceWare 185 release, version
185.85 is WHQL-certified and ready for Windows XP, Vista, and even
Windows 7. If you downloaded 185.81, nothing has changed, but those of
you still running ForceWare 182 or early ForceWare 185 drivers will
probably want to upgrade. Grab them if you need them!
