According to
CNBC's Silicon Valley Bureau Chief,
PCs need the following things to "perform as well as a Mac": $50 a year
for anti-virus software, $104 multimedia software, $100 music software,
$140 'Photoshop - you get that with Apple' and $129 for a Geek Squad
visit. Over $600 worth of extra stuff. Oh, and Macs get 4x the battery
life, have faster processors and a higher resolution screen. Wow :-)
Not content with giving terrible financial advice and reporting,
CNBC has decided to enlighten us all with its crack tech-journalism
team. Which turns out about as well as you'd expect it to.
Of course, PHOTOSHOP IS NOT FREE FOR MAC, but you can have Express or
Gimp for free in both. It is clear that CNBC put this kind of story
because they are trying to manipulate the market. I am sure they are
shorting Apple, which is probably the right thing to do because less
people buy expensive computers in a bad economy. I personally think OS
X is better than Windows, but you pay more.
