The chaps over at
Expreview has posted a number of details about new card,
which Nvidia will supposedly brand GeForce GTX 295. This GeForce
GTX 295 is rumored to have dual 55nm GT200 GPUs each with 240
stream processors, 448-bit memory interfaces, and 896MB of GDDR3
memory riding shotgun. That'll translate into a total of 480
SPs, 1792MB of RAM, and a 289W power envelope for the whole
shebang. Expreview doesn't mention clock speeds, though, so it's
hard to say how this card will compare to today's SLI and
CrossFire configurations. If this report is accurate, Nvidia
will introduce the GeForce GTX 295 on the first day of the
Consumer Electronics Show next year-that's January 8.
