Acer
has applied a price cut to its Aspire one netbook. The firm claims you can
now get the Intel Atom-powered system with 1GB of RAM, a 120GB hard disk drive,
a three-cell battery, and a copy of Windows XP Home Edition for just $349.
Penguin sympathizers can get the same netbook with Linpus Linux Lite
pre-installed for $20 less. That's not all. Acer has also introduced a new
Aspire one unit for "education and business customers." This new model features
a six-cell battery, a 160GB mechanical hard drive, and Windows XP Home; and it
costs only $399.
