Twilight is an upcoming American vampire film directed by Catherine Hardwicke. The screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg is based on the 2005 novel of the same name by Stephenie Meyer. Production began in February 2008. Twilight is scheduled to be released on December 12, 2008.
