Thunderbolt
Aerosystems has developed the Thunderpack, which is a "rocket belt" that can
thrust you through the air at up to 75 miles per hour. The company believes in
making this jetpack available to the masses in a format that will use ubiquitous
fuels. Hopefully it will be used by diverse consumers like firemen, forest fire
control forces, coast guards, Red Cross, border patrol, high-risk rescues and
for any natural disaster extreme transportation requirements. So far the tests
have managed to keep pilot up for only 45 seconds, but hopefully one day you
will be able to travel to work using it. For about $100,000, Thunderbolt Aerosystems says you can have a TP-R2G2 this summer.
If money was no object, how many of you would have something like this? I'm
guessing a lot :-)
