ASUS Computer International confirmed that it will be one of the driving forces in creating the worldwide physics accelerator market with the breakthrough AGEIA PhysX processor. The company will begin distributing this exciting new AGEIA PhysX Accelerator cards in May, 2006. ASUS will be one of only two companies who will manufacturing the card, and will be the only company making the card in a 256MB configuration.

yeah looks like 299 is the pricepoint.

wonder if pci limits the bandwidth at all. I bet it does. It's prolly a good idea to wait for physX 2 on PCI-e, as I assume that's where it'll be headed. I'm hoping they have the 6-8 month upgrade cycle in mind for the PPU as is the case with GPUs. Mouth is watering thinking about the kind of system will be possible to build in early 2007. No games coming out until then that warrant an upgrade.

should be plenty of time to save up for a 30 in. dell display or maybe whatever comes out to compete with it :)
