If you own an ATi video card,
head on over to the AMD / ATi website and download the new Catalyst 7.9 drivers for Windows Vista x86, Windows Vista x64, Windows XP, and Windows XP Pro x64. Among new features are a video converter and numerous performance improvements. The new releases do not include the highly anticipated version 7.9 Linux drivers, which are said to be "coming soon".
Also NVIDIA has released
a new
ForceWare beta drivers for its various GeForce video chips (5x, 6x, 7x and
8x series) on its
NVIDIA Zone site
for
Windows XP/2000 32-bit,
Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition/Windows XP Professional x64 Edition,
Windows Vista 32-bit, and
Windows Vista 64-bit. The drivers have "improved compatibility for Crysis and BioShock." The Crysis mention is perhaps to prepare for the game's single player demo that's due for release on Sept. 25. (thanks Thinus)
