VR-Zone reports that the G98 will replace the existing G86 graphics processor found in GeForce 8400 GS graphics cards. G98-based cards will support PCI Express 2.0 connectivity and come outfitted with 256MB of GDDR2 memory clocked at 800MHz. As with the G86, that memory will run on a 64-bit memory bus. VR-Zone also has word that cards powered by the G98 will be priced at just $59. They'll reportedly compete with AMD's upcoming RV610- and RV620-based cards and offer performance somewhere between that of current Nvidia GeForce 8400- and GeForce 8600-series offerings.
