Paris will be under house confinement in her West Hollywood home for 40 days, where she has a 3000-4000 ft. radius of freedom. Her jail cell was 96 square feet. After the 40 days are up, Whitmore says she will have "fulfilled her debt to society." Whitmore made it clear that Paris was not released early - she was reassigned. She is technically still in custody.
What do you think about it? Of course Paris Hilton is a thousand times more popular than anybody on this site, but that does NOT make her above the law. Rules apply to EVERYBODY. Playing favorites is one of the worst things a person-of-authority should not do. And also, here's a qoute from a blog on CNN.com: "Medical condition? Do they not have doctors in the jail? When other inmates get sick, are they also let go?" Do they? No, they don't. Some official in the jail gave her the sympathy vote, once again. Awwww, I feel so bad that Paris Hilton is having a rough, difficult time in jail. I know she could have killed somebody while driving drunk, but I just can't stand to see Paris suffer! NOT!!!!!! I've got a question for everybody: What would happen if Paris had in fact killed somebody while she was driving drunk?
Update:Paris Hilton was just ordered back to jail in Lynwood to serve out the remainder of her sentence! She'll get credit for at least 5 days already served. Hilton left the courtroom in tears, screaming, "Mom, Mom, Mom." Hilton was also heard saying "It's not right." One witness said that Paris was "physically escorted" out of the courtroom by a female deputy.
