TheInquirer learned that  at least one system vendor has started to sell R600 cards with 1GB of GDDR-4 memory. Maingear, a vendor of premium gaming systems, is selling systems with a 1GB card. The price difference between 512MB GDDR-3 and 1GB of GDDR-4 memory is around 110 US Dollars, and you can get two in Crossfire, thus ending up with 2GB of video memory in a single system.

In other news, Fudzilla learned that Barcelona K10 will be delayed. AMD was hoping for July launch but it looks that it wont start shipping Opteron 2200 series 'till Q4. That will make their's financial score even worst but AMD needs higher speeds and a new revision. This article on CNET News claims  that it remains on schedule. However, shipments to supercomputer maker Cray of a close Barcelona relative code-named Budapest have slipped. So which one we should believe? The CNET News is probably more reliable source, but anyway....:-]
