T3
offers a hands on preview of the yet unreleased Nokia 8600, surprisingly the
phone is not officially announced by Nokia but it still offered for pre-order by
select online retailers. The phone comes with a OLED display, 2 Megapixel
camera, SD card slot and 1GB onboard memory.
The 8600 Luna has a form similar to the 8801 sold in the US last year, however the front cover of the slide is now glass instead of metal, and the phone itself has been updated to quad-band GSM/EDGE, a 2 Megapixel camera, and a QVGA display. The Luna also includes Bluetooth, a 2.5mm audio jack, and is one of the first Nokias to combine charging and data into a MicroUSB port - which Motorola has recently switched to as well. Nokia also announced two new 3G Series 40 phones for the rest of the world which use the new MicroUSB connector, one of which includes a 3.2 Megapixel auto-focus camera.
