BigBruin, Hardware Logic, ThinkComputers take a look at the Super Talent T1000UX2G4 2GB PC2-8000 Memory Kit, which is a 2GB kit of their 1000MHz enthusiast memory. Here's a taster:

The Super Talent T1000UX2G5 2GB PC2-8000 DDR2 Memory Kit performs great at its advertised speed of 1000MHz and fairly relaxed (5-5-5-15) timings. Using more aggressive timings (4-4-4-12) allowed this memory to operated error-free up to 1075MHz. Changing the timings back to the default 5-5-5-15 allowed the memory to run stably at 1200MHz, however the more relaxed timings made performance suffer. Regardless of memory speeds or timings (or even brands) all of the benchmarks showed similar performance.

The Super Talent T1000UX2G5 PC2-8000 memory kit suffers from two issues, neither of which relate to performance. First, availability: A quick search revealed two retailers currently carrying it, neither of which we've personally used. Second is the price. Those two retailers were charging a major premium for this kit. Hopefully, we'll see it more widely distributed to the usual sources shortly (Newegg, ZZF, etc), which will undoubtedly balance out the price, making this kit extremely attractive.

Overall, the Super Talent T1000UX2G5 PC2-8000 memory kit proved to be a good product that we enjoyed working with. Its versatility makes it very attractive, and those not wanting to OC their system will be happy with 4-3-3-8 @ DDR2-800, while those mad OCers among you will generally be happy with DDR2-1022 @ 5-5-5-15.
