The
F-22 stealth jet may be about as useful for fighting insurgents as a
snowboard in Baghdad. The plane may cost nearly $120 million a pop, making it
one of the most expensive fighters of all time. But hot damn, does that thing
look bad ass when it's going transonic :-)
Those are clouds forming around the jet, by the way. The plane's near-supersonic speed changes the temperature and pressure of the air around it, causing ambient moisture to condense. Clouds naturally follow.
