Kodi 20.1 has been released today bringing with it lots of bug fixes and some backports - unfortunately, the team did admit there are no real new features in this update. As it's a point release update, the team says it should be fine to install it over Kodi 20 installations without running into any issues, though, they still advise backing up any userdata beforehand just in case. One fix that stood out pertains to right-to-left subtitles which previously displayed punctuation incorrectly due to a “too correct” implementation. Apparently, subtitle creators insert left-to-right punctuation so this was coming up weirdly in Kodi but is now resolved.
