A company called Adtron has unveiled a line of 2.5-inch flash drives with capacities ranging from 4GB to 160GB.  Adtron's A25FB solid-state disk looks pretty competitive on the performance front - the company quotes a sustained read transfer rate of up to 65MB/s and a sustained write transfer rate as high as 55MB/s. Coupled with a Serial ATA interface, those transfer rates may very well help the A25FB give notebook hard drives a run for their money. However, Adtron doesn't quote prices for the disk. Considering how much other SSD solutions cost, it's unlikely that Adtron's A25FB is competitive with standard hard drives on the price front.
