I've posted
some
details about RV610 and RV630 earlier and now
HKEPC has revealed some more juicy info on RV630. It is based on 65nm
process, supports 2nd gen. Unified Shader, DX10, SM 4.0, 128-bit memory
interface, Dual HDCP engine. There are 3 variants; GDDR4, GDDR3 and GDDR2
codenamed Kohinoor, Orloff and Sefadu respectively. Konhinoor and Orlooff
supports native Crossfire and PCI Express 2.0 but requires 2x3 power connector.
Sefadu doesn't support native Crossfire and requires no power connector. RV630
has UVD (Universal Video Decoder) onboard that enhances the current AVIVO
technology where Bitstream Processing / Entropy Decode is done by GPU instead of
CPU. RV630 is targeted to perform better than Radeon X1900GT. RV630 will be
displayed at CeBIT but performance will not be revealed. There will be card
samples based on A13 silicon in March with mass production slated for mid April
and launch in May.
