Like the already announced Ryzen 3000 desktop processors, the Ryzen 3000 Pro family is based on AMD's 7nm Zen 2 architecture. At this time, there are three new Zen 2 processors that have been announced: Ryzen 5 Pro 3600, Ryzen 7 Pro 3700, and Ryzen 9 Pro 3900. All three processors have a TDP of just 65 watts, while the total amount of cache (L2 + L3) ranges from 35MB on the Ryzen 5 Pro 3600 to 70MB on the Ryzen Pro 3900. The most interesting member of the family is no doubt the Ryzen 9 Pro 3900, with its 12 cores and 24 threads. Interestingly, the specs for this processor lineup exactly with the Ryzen 9 3900 (without the "X") that we told you about late last week. That means that we're looking at a base clock of 3.1GHz and a boost clock of 4.3GHz. Given that these are "Pro" processors, they come with a number of security-centric features onboard aimed at businesses including AMD GuardMI, Memory Guard encryption, secure boot, and fTPM/TPM 2.0 (among others). AMD says that its new Ryzen Pro 3000 processors will be available during the fourth quarter.
