The New York Times is reporting that researchers in China and the United States have begun demonstrating that devices like Siri and Alexa can be vulnerable to hidden commands, not audible to the human ear. In 2016 it was shown that commands could be hidden in white noise played over loudspeakers, but now Berkeley researchers have shown that they can
embed commands into recordings of music or spoken text.
