VR-Zone reports
that the card makers are now getting ready to ship out their GeForce 8800GTS
320MB cards to their respective customers around the world and they can expect
to see mass availability of the cards on the stores on February 12th. According
to previous reports, the card will have the same 96 stream processors, 500MHz
core clock speed, and 800MHz memory speed as the current model. However, its
price will be shaved down to a cool $299, placing it within the same price range
as some of Nvidia's GeForce 7950 GT cards. VR-Zone says some manufacturers will
offer overclocked versions of the 8800 GTS 320MB, though, which may spill over
the $300 mark.
