Newegg
is selling an OEM Athlon X2 6000+ processor that runs at 3.0 GHz, the same
speed as the top Athlon FX processors using the 1207-pin Socket F. It is still a
90nm processor, but should be damn fast. Current sale price is $599 which pits
it against the Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 that is current selling at $519. I wonder
if they overclock well. Thanks to Ryan at
PC
Perspective for bringing this to my attention.
