iPhone SE 2 Rumored For Late Spring Launch - [mobile] 05:41 PM EST - Jan,26 2018 - post a comment Previous rumors claimed that the iPhone SE 2 will feature Apple's A10 Fusion SoC (which was used on the 2016-era iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus), 2GB of RAM and a larger 1,700 mAh battery (up from 1,624 mAh for the current iPhone SE). The iPhone SE 2 will also allegedly be available in 32GB and 128GB capacities, leaving the larger 256GB SKU for the iPhone 8 and iPhone X.
There is absolutely no chance that the iPhone SE will gain the Face ID biometric authentication system of the iPhone X, although it will likely feature the second-generation Touch ID fingerprint sensor that graces the iPhone 8 and iPad family of devices.
The current iPhone SE has been in Apple's lineup since March 2016, and was added for customers that prefer a smaller form-factor (4-inch display versus 4.7 inches for the iPhone 6/6s/7/8). The iPhone SE also serves as Apple's cheapest smartphone, priced from $349. The next step up in the family is the iPhone 6s, which is priced from $449.
