Ahead of the official launch early next month,
US pricing for AMD Ryzen processors has been leaked early, courtesy of online retailer ShopBLT. All three SKUs will be 8-core processors with 16 threads. The flagship AMD Ryzen SKU will be the R7-1800X, with the manufacturing part number 'YD180XBCAEWOF'. The 8-core processor will be priced at $490.29, which is very promising as the chip is expected to be a beast of a performer. Unlike older flagship AMD processors, the R7-1800X will deliver high performance while being highly efficient at the same time. With a TDP of 'just' 95W, the processor is said to be capable of reaching 4.0 GHz out of the box. Its Intel rival, the Core i7 6900K, has a higher 140W TDP and is also a lot more expensive at over $1100. Positioned below the R7-1800X will be the R7-1700X. It too will be an 8-core chip with the same 95W TDP rating as the flagship R7-1800X. The retailer has listed the R7-1700X (YD170XBCAEWOF) at $381.72, which is fantastic value. The third SKU is the R7-1700 (YD1700BBAEBOX), which is an 8-core processor with a 65W TDP rating priced at $316.59.
