Crime Stoppers and the Houston Police Department's Auto Theft Division need the public's assistance identifying the suspects responsible for a Felony Auto Theft. On Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at approximately 12:57 a.m., a red, 4-door, Jeep Wrangler Unlimited was stolen from the driveway of a residence located in the 1900 block of Elmen Street in Houston, TX. At approximately 12:45 a.m., the first suspect approaches the vehicle and opens the hood. The suspect is seen on video surveillance cameras possibly disabling the audible alarm. The suspect then lowers the hood and walks away. Within a few minutes, a second suspect approaches the vehicle and opens the driver's side door. This suspect is observed inside the vehicle, possibly disabling the alarm's flashing lights and enabling the ignition with assistance from an electronic device. At approximately 12:57 a.m., the suspect is observed backing the Jeep out of the driveway and driving away with the vehicle.
Suspect #1: unknown suspect, wearing a hooded sweatshirt, shorts and athletic shoes.
Suspect #2: white male with a thin build, approximately 20-30 years old, wearing a light colored long-sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up with a tattoo of possibly a dagger or anchor on inner left forearm.
