Reuters
reports that General Motors will launch a new Hummer model in 2009. Currently, the brand has two models: the H3
and the H2. The large H1 was discontinued this summer. The brand currently has
two models: the H2 and H3. It stopped production of the H1 in June. Earlier this
year, GM's activist investor Kirk Kerkorian urged the automaker to consider
spinning off Hummer, which began as a high-mobility vehicle for the U.S.
military.

Slated to hit the U.S. roads in 2007 the
Smart fortwo presents a
pretty picture! Though some last minute changes have taken place, it will now
measure 2.69 meters (8.82 feet) long. It has optional features like audio
equipment that is compatible with MP3 with Bluetooth connectivity, GPS
positioning, lights sensors for rain and parking, alloy rims and a panoramic
solar ceiling. A bigger motor that's a full liter in size and available in
various power levels will also power it. A diesel option will be offered, and
SMART is also fitting the new fortwo with a "stop & go" system that cuts the
engine at red lights much like a hybrid. Safety will be a big priority as well,
with each fortwo stocked with front airbargs, ABS and ESP. By next autumn, a
sport variant, Brabus, will be put on sale in Europe.
