The Astronauts has just announced that the Unreal Engine 4 version of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is now available on Steam and GOG.com. This new version, called Redux, is available for free to all those already owning The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and for those who do not, those storefronts are currently offering this for 50% and 40% off, respectively. FYI, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter Redux requires at least a 64-bit Windows OS and 6 GB of RAM.
