The update was previously scheduled for an October release date, but now this may have shifted to a later date, possibly in November. Keeping in mind that this gives Microsoft more time to work on optimization and other new features, the news isn't all that bad. Another interesting thing revealed is that Threshold 2 is internally being called "Windows 10 Update for November" or "Windows 10 November Update" but whether any of this name ends up being final is not confirmed, as of yet. Another possibility would be Microsoft not giving the update a specific name but releasing it as a general update. Windows Insiders have been using Threshold 2 builds for quite some time now and we know that the update will largely work on optimization, but will also tow along some new features such as extensions for Microsoft Edge, and possibly a universal Messaging app for the desktop.
