US Modular is at it again with their uniquely-named
Monstor Drive Line. The micro-sized USB
drives may look like little more than fashionable cigarette lighters, but the
latest entry packs in an incredible 12GB of storage. The stainless steel shell
is quite attractive, and it certainly helps that this device is "small enough to
fit in the palm of a hand." As expected, the new Monstor Drive throws down USB
2.0, low power consumption, and 1500G shock resistance, but unlike other similar
devices, the Monstor doesn't use flash memory, opting for a 4200rpm micro-HDD
instead (
maybe
this one?) Look for the 12GB drive to start shipping November 1st with an
asking price of $129.
