The folks at Tech ARP have
a
slide presentation from NVIDIA that shows off the GeForce 7950 GT and 7900
GS. The GeForce 7900 GS is merely a slightly slower version of the GeForce
7900 GT while the GeForce 7950 GT is designed to bridge the gap between the
GeForce 7900 GT and the GeForce 7900 GTX. In other news,
an Israeli distributor decided to launch a 7950 GT card before Nvidia lifted
its embargo. The outfit priced the BFG Geforce 7950 GT OC 512MB PCIe at $505 or
2,000.00 Israeli New Shekels. The BFG is clocked at 565MHz core and 1430MHz
memory. The default non overclocked 7950 GT should be clocked at 550MHz core and
1400MHz memory. Not the greatest overclock that we've seen. The card has dual
Dual-Link DVI-I slots can perform 1170 Million vertices/sec and a memory
bandwidth of 45.7 GB/s. The official launch is expected in the middle of the
month but if you are in Israel you can preorder one now.
