has more leaked AMD processor pricing information for you today. The darling
of the bunch would have to be the X2 3600+ and the 3800+ CPUs that, according to
this roadmap, will be getting big price cuts. While it is currently an OEM-only
processor, the Athlon 64 X2 3600+ will reportedly see a retail launch on Socket
AM2 "in the short coming future." The leaked price list is in Hong Kong dollars,
and it shows a price equivalent to $149 for the chip. However, the Athlon 64 X2
3800+ is listed for the equivalent of $160 (while its U.S. price is $153,)
suggesting Hong Kong prices are a little higher than their U.S. counterparts. If
the Athlon 64 X2 3600+ is priced accordingly, it could dip further below $150 in
the U.S to better compete with Intel's Pentium D 915, which has a 1000-unit
