According to the report from China Times, sources within Apple's supply chain have revealed that the company has begun production of the iWatch in limited numbers and is expected to launch the device in the second half of 2014. While we have heard about similar rumours throughout 2013, it seems that this might be the year that the device actually lands in the hands of the consumers. Previous reports have suggested that Apple has formed a team of 100 engineers to work on the iWatch and has patented over 80 technologies that would be integrated in the device. Now, China Times has revealed that the iWatch would be using a SiP (system-in-package) module instead of a traditional printed circuit board (PCB) to integrate as many sensors in the smallest possible construction. Although, we haven't seen any actual prototypes or leaks of the iWatch yet, IBTimes has reported on high profile hires and acquisitions related to wearable devices by Apple which point to a possible launch.

WWDC 2014 is the closest Apple event which could showcase the iWatch in June, or fans will have to wait till the launch of the iPhone 6 in August or September.
