I'm having trouble coming up with a practical use for something like that.
The only stuff normal people have that takes up those kinds of capacities are video, music, and maybe pictures. Seems like that kind of storage is a waste on a keychain, because you need a computer to access it. Now if they made a video ipod like device with all solid state memory so it could get banged around... then they'd be onto something. Although in that case the $78 per gig might be prohibitive, haha.
I'm glad they're pushing the storage density envelope though. Just wish they'd focus on speed more that storage for a while. Speed seems to be lagging behind pretty bad. I mean if they ever could get flash to perform faster than harddrives, things would get interesting. |
