AOL announced that it is cutting 1,300 jobs , approximately 7% of its global workforce, and will
close its Jacksonville, Florida call center. Most of the 1,300 jobs lost are due to the closing of
the call center but jobs will also be lost at AOL's Tucson, Arizona and Ogden, Utah call centers.
